About WILPF Ghana
We are a peacebuilding, human rights and anti-militarist organisation. We are a National Section of the Women`s League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) International. We believe that gender equality is crucial to peace and human rights. We advocate against gender- based violence, promote girls’ education, demilitarisation, environmental justice and sustainability. WILPF Ghana has close to 800 members.

WILPF Ghana seeks to influence and strengthen policies and enforceable legislation at a national and regional level for the promotion of gender justice and human rights. We work around United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) to improve the lives of women in our communities.
